Although it may not entirely feel like it here in the Willamette Valley, spring has technically arrived. The journey to this time of year has been punctuated with snow and uncharacteristically late cold weather, which has delayed the spring growing season slightly; however, the lavender at Wayward Winds is beginning to wake up and grow fresh green leaves in preparation for the summer season.

It’s finally time to begin propagation! If you are interested in ordering lavender plants from us, now is the time to reach out and begin the ordering process for 2023 fall plants. We have over 100 different Lavandula angustifolia, Lavandula x intermedia, and even Lavandula x chaytorae cultivars to choose from on the farm in an array of colors and sizes. Of course, we have the traditional shades of lavender, but we grow white and pink lavender cultivars as well. Whether you are looking for oil plants, landscaping plants, fresh-cut plants, or culinary plants, we can help you find the perfect lavender plant.

If you are interested in ordering wholesale propagated plants from us it is helpful to keep some things in mind.  We are a woman owned and operated small business.  We are not a large commercial operation.  We have two greenhouses and one propagation house and we do not heat them.  This means we are at the mercy of the fickle Oregon weather.  In the past two years we’ve experienced cold snaps, freak spring heat waves, freak spring snow storms, hail storms, drought, excess rain, and delayed spring warming.

For all of these reasons we require a six month lead time to be sure we can actually propagate the plants you need when you need them.  We know it seems excessive, but we’ve just learned the hard way that this is what works best with Oregon’s crazy weather.

The upside?

You get a large variety of hard to find cultivars to choose from and high quality healthy plants propagated just for you!  We know our lavender cultivars and guarantee you will get the variety you want and not some mysterious lavender you did not order.

If you are interested in using our propagation services or would like a list of all of our cultivars fill out our inquiry form here and I will be in touch soon to answer questions and walk you through the process.

I’m here to help you make your lavender dreams bloom!
